Review : Wet 'n' Wild Corrector and Concealer

Ok so cult product Lust : The Bobbi Brown Corrector.

I've heard so much about this product but every time I build myself up to spend the £17 on it .. it's sold out in the colour I want.

I'll admit, I haven't really 'researched' other correctors on the market but when I saw the Wet 'n' Wild Corrector and Concealer palette I snapped it up.

This baby was hiding in Poundland until I rescued it and bought it home to my make up collection. 

If you look properly you can find some real gems in pound shops and the like. 

Yes, sometimes it's slim pickings but if you're willing to spend a bit of time searching you can find great things.

Ok so this product is a tone corrector, concealer and setting powder with two brushes included.

Top: corrector / Middle : concealer / Bottom: Setting powder

The shade I have is '21014'. I usually chose the lightest shade of foundations when it comes to drug store make up (and MAC) and this is perfect for me.

First you apply the corrector to any dark or discoloured areas on your skin, mainly under the eye. Then you use the concealer over it and on any blemishes. Finally set your make up with the powder.

Now a big mistake alot of people make is to buy the concealer in the colour which matches your skin tone perfectly.

Now this is ok to cover blemishes, but not for under the eye.

You want a darker colour to cover your discolouration.

The best way to explain why:

your skin : a blank sheet of paper, 

your discolouration : a black mark on the white sheet

your concealer : a darker colour to cover the discolouration

Your corrector should cancel out discolouration, this corrector isn't brilliant but it works! 

Your concealer should be used to brighten your skin and this concealer does that perfectly.

These are the brushes that come in the Palette.

The powder brush is actually great for getting up close to the lash line.

The smaller brush however is completely useless. I don't like it and don't use it.

As you can tell from the pictures there is still slight discolouration visible in the inner corners of my eye but my freckles are completely covered!

Not only does it give great visual results but it lasts all day!

And it's slim enough to slip into your handbag for touch ups!
