Beauty haul

Brace yourselfs beautiful people this is going to be a looong haul!
Recently it feels like I've done nothing but shop, and in the process emptied out my bank account! This has to stop!
Here is what I bought today!

First off is Mac's Face and Body foundation. This is the first Mac foundation I have bought so had no clue what colour I was. When I went into the mac store it was mega busy and the girl who helped me was like 'c1 is your colour'.
I'm amazed. She was right. I wish I had that superpower!
So I've got this on now (along with the next few products) just to check that it does match my skin colour properly and you can see for yourself below how lovely it is!
£25.50 - Mac

This 17 mascara from Boots was a right bargain at just £4! I don't own any waterproof mascaras and thought that at £4 this should be the one I own! At first impressions as you can see the brush is HUUGE and I do like it, but it could all change!
£4 - Boots

Now normally I wear a bright pink blush but I feel like as we move into summer (slowly) I needed a different shade. I decided to go with a more peachy/brown shade so picked up natural collection blush in 'Rosey Glow'. Now this blush is super cheap so if it doesn't suit me I haven't lost much!
£1.99 - Boots

Since the Revlon Lip butters were launched in the UK I've heard mixed reviews and that the Loreal Colour Riche Lipsticks were much better. So after weeks of selecting a shade I finally bought 'Aphrodite Scarlet'.
£7.99 - Boots

So here is me with just a very quickly applied face of make-up using all the above products.
Mac Face and Body foundation - C1
17 Va Va Voom Mascara - Black
Natural Collection Blush - Rosey Glow
Loreal Colour Riche Lipstick - Aphrodite Scarlet

I'm undecided about the blush but I love all of the other products. What are your opinions on the blush and are there any you recommend?

This eyeliner pencil is from a shop I recently discovered called Kiko. This eye liner is in the colour 'Mattita Occhi' and is unlike any other I own. Its a really nice mushroom colour which seems to be well pigmented and very creamy!
£2.50 - Kiko

There was a wide range of lip sticks in Kiko starting at £2.50. I picked up this lipstick in shade 42 which is a  gorgeous shimmery red.
£2.50 - Kiko

I own three other Kiko nail polishes and really love them so I picked up two more in the shades L: 703 (magnetic) R: 344
£2.50 each - Kiko

This is a lip gloss pencil! I have never seen these before so had to get one! This is shade 07 which is a really nice pale pink/almost nude colour. This is so much more pigmented than a lip gloss and still leaves lips with that freshly applied lip gloss feeling.
£3.90 - Kiko

It seems like everybody has these Bourjois Chocolate powders! They are available in a lighter shade (for highlighting) but I am in desperate need of a bronzer. I picked this up in shade 51 and OMG it smells amazing! I don't usually sniff my powders, but as soon as I opened this baby up the smell hit me! I could just eat it up!
£6.99 - Superdrug

I don't know about you guys but I have a bit of an issue with Benefit make-up. A friend of mine used to work at a Benefit make up counter and has recently left the company and she basically told me 'Benefit are awful!' I'm not going to go into it now, but may at a later date. But sometimes I find that if I have Benefit products for more than a month they irritate my skin. Some of their products are great so it's annoying spending so much money on them and then having to chuck them out after a month! The sample sizes are a great way for me to use the products and not spend too much money. This little set was in Boots and consists of 'some kind of gorgeous - the foundation faker' 'Hoola bronzer' and 'Bad Gal mascara'. There will be a review of these soon!
£9 - Boots

I've never tried H&M cosmetics before but this nail polish was just too pretty for me to resist! The colour is 'Pink Road'
£1.99 - H&M

And finally some skin care! I try to use natural products as much as possible on my skin and don't like to overload it with too many different products. However recently I've been getting the odd spot and sometimes need it gone quickly. So I bought this tea tree spot stick, which was on promotion - 2 tea tree products for £.399. I didn't know what else i wanted so after deliberating between the pore strips and the cleansing pads I chose the pore strips as I'm happy with my current cleanser.
2 for £3.99 - Superdrug

Mac madness

I've Been really interested in trying some more mac make up recently. In the past I've only used their eyeliner and brush cleanser but there is just so much in the stores at the moment that is catching my eye!
Today I treated my myself to Mac's face and body foundation in c1.
I look forward to testing this out and showing you guys a haul of all my recently bought mac goodies as well as some reviews!

What are your favourite mac products and products which you would steer clear of?

NOTD

In a recent haul I showed you guys a magnetic nail polish I picked up!
When I bought it I was really intrigued by it and did not have a clue how to use it. So I opened trusty youtube and found a tutorial and it could not have been easier!
The nail polish I bought had a seperate magnet, but I know brands such as Barry M have the magnet on the lid.
If you're just as confused as I was here is a little step by step guide:
  1. Paint a base coat on your nails to protect them.
  2. Paint one thing layer of your magnetic polish onto your nails and then wait for them to dry.
  3. Layer another coat of polish onto one nail.
  4. Grab your magnet whilst your nails are still wet and hover it a few millimetres from your nail (or as close as you can get it)
  5. Slowly move the magnet across your nail in order for the pattern to appear across your entire nail.
  6. Repeat on all nails.
  7. Wait for the polish to dry and add a top coat!
It's super easy to do but it did take me a few trial tuns to get the hang of it!

Primark haul!

I love Primark hauls! It's amazing what you can get in Primark sometimes! I find that unless you look for something specifically you can miss some real gems, and this is where these posts come in handy!

First off is some mint green pumps. I have 2 other pairs of these and they are so comfy! They do wear down quite quick, which I don't mind for my nude pair but I'm going to try and keep these in a good shape!
£4

You can never have enough vests! I love these stretch vests and already have a white one and a purple one. I picked up a lemon colour and a deep coral.
£2.50 each

These slevless blouses are great for a simple outfit! (I have them in 3 different colours now!)
£4

Recently Primark beauty and acssesories have really been catching my eye! I picked up this duo fibre hair brush for £2, the nail file (and case) were just £1 and the clips were £1.50

I love the little case with this nail file and is super handy to slip into my handbag!

Primark are now carrying the Angelica range of nail polish and today these two caught my eye.
Left: Goddess Right: Hip Hop
£2.50 each

The in the home section I grabbed two candles.
Left: Orange and Mango smoothie Right: Jasmine and Rose
£1.50 each

I hope you liked this haul, I love hauls! Let me know if you would like to see more!

Love for Lush

Ok, so I feel like every other blog I read now a days is a lush review/ haul. And here's another!
I discovered lush about 4 years ago (I think?) and I tried a few face masks but one bought me out in a mega rash! Seriously my whole face was red and blotchy! Understandably I stopped using lush. But my rash didn't budge.
So any way turns out it was something else which broke me out not the lush products.
My skin always looks dull when I use products which aren't natural or very mild. For example something such as Superdrug's Vitamin E cream is too harsh on my skin and gives me small bumps under my skin.

I've been hearing soooo much about lush latley and decided that I needed to treat my skin and hair to a bit of TLC ontop of my regualr routine.
Off I plodded to Lush and I bought 'Oatitix' and 'Hair Doctor'.

Oatifox is a gentle face mask and cost £5.75
Hair Doctor is an intensive hair mask and cost £6.50

Oatifix
'Cleanse, soften and moisturise dry, sensitive skin. A blend of bananas, vanilla and oats to cool and nourish, illipe butter to reduce redness, ground almonds to gently polish and kaolin to cleanse your skin'

This smells absolutly amazing! It smells just like banana flap jacks! mmm I just want to eat it all up!
This has got ingredients in it, one being illipe butter which has amazing moisturising qualities.
The instructions say to leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes but I could just sit with it on my face for ages. Once you get over feeling like you're covering your face in Goldielocks' breakfast then you can really enjoy the product. The smell relaxes me automatically and as it drys it tightens on the skin ever so slightly.
I wash this off of my face with warm water on a cotton pad and leave it at least an hour before continuing with my usual skin routine.
My skin is so soft and feel so refreshed and looks really fresh and alive.

Hair Doctor
'Hair & scalp mask - If you've really got your hair in a bad way, then you need this stimulating mask made from seaweeds and mud.'
'If your hair could dial 999- this is who it'd call. Give hair doctor a go - you'll love his bedside manner.'

This product was a complete impulse buy. I went into lush to buy a new solid shampoo bar and was just having a mooch and found this and thought I'd give it ago.

Over the last 3 months I've really stepped up my hair care routine as I'm trying to grow it. This means no heat and super deep conditioning.
I used this on my hair this week and as you can see by how much I'v used I really loved using it!
Again it smells delicious! It contains ingredients such as seaweed, coconut oil and peppermint. I covered my hair in this and left it on for half an hour then rinsed and shampooed.
My hair was so soft and silky!
I went to the hairdressers for a trim today and she was so impressed with the condition of my hair! She couldn't believe just how lovely it was!

So both of these products have massively impressed me and I will 100% be re-purchasing these!

NOTD

Beauty Haul

I love shopping! and I love make-up too! so I did a bit of shopping. I didn't buy the whole of boots or anything but I got a few bits that I needed or had wanted for a while and  heeerrrrreee (down there) is what I bought!

Shopping in westfield a few weeks back I saw a shop I'd never seen before and all the pretty make up drew me in! They had these amazing eye shadows which just look like fairy dust! They had a few colours but I bought the beige and its a pretty good match to my skin tone and makes my eyes look so sparkly!

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty

1. Greed:  What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
Inexpensive: MUA lip gloss & Lipsticks. They retail for £1 in superdrug and are just amazing quality.
Expensive: I'm not really one for expensive make-up but my most expensive is Benefit's 'They're Real!'        mascara at £18.50

2. Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?/ What product has been the hardest to get?
I have a love/hate relationship with lipstick! I love lip product so much but find that every single lipstick I try stays put for a maximum of 10 minutes!
The product of mine which has been hardest to get has to be my Collection 2000 Ultimate Fix foundation, concealer and powder 3-in-1. It's readily available - just not in my shade. I'm 01 Ivory but I can only ever find it in the darker shades.
3. Gluttony: What are your most delicious beauty products?
These lip products are just so yummy! On the left is Lancome's Juicy Tubes in Toffee. I got this from a Glossy Box so it's only a sample size. I don't use it too often as I don't want to use it all up to quickly!
On the right is Lush's Bubblegum lip scrub. I could literately just eat this out of the tub! Its main ingredient is sugar and I use it before I apply lipstick.

4. Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect due to laziness?
Primer. I don't always need primer (depending on the foundation I use) but I just always over look it!

5. Pride: Which product gives you the most confidence?
Make up doesn't really give me confidence but if I had to choose the one which I feel makes me look a lot better it has to be foundation.

6. Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
Physically I'm very attractive to guys who are taller than me (around 6 ft), dark hair, light eyes, full lips and a nose that's a bit big! I know that sounds weird but I like a face with character and I just don't find teeny tiny noses attractive!
Personality wise I think the main attributes are a selflessness, a genuine and good heart and affectionate.

7. Envy: What item would you most like to receive as a gift?
Perfume. I don't often buy perfume for myself as I just don't like spending that much money on myself and it takes a lot for me to spend loads on one thing but I don't mind giving perfume as a gift and love receiving it.
